School Groups & Field Trips

TAKE LEARNING BEYOND THE CLASSROOM

The museum visit, campus tour, or overnight trip may be the part students remember most. BTM Coaches helps your school get there with professional drivers and transportation suited to the class, the destination, and the day ahead.

From a local field trip to a journey across state lines, we keep students and chaperones traveling together so teachers can focus on the experience they have planned.

Transportation for Student Travel

FROM ONE CLASS TO A SCHOOLWIDE OUTING

A morning at a science center calls for a different ride from an overnight college tour. BTM offers school buses for practical local outings, minibuses for smaller groups, and motorcoaches for larger classes and longer journeys.

We can organize a single departure or several buses, with the teachers, chaperones, and belongings included in the vehicle plan. Your school sets the student groups and supervision arrangements; our team provides the transportation between the places on your itinerary.

  • Museum, science center, and educational attraction visits
  • College tours and university programs
  • Club outings, competitions, and student performances
  • Overnight trips and interstate student travel
  • Multiple-bus transportation for larger school groups

A Ride That Suits the School Day

CHOOSE FOR THE DISTANCE, THE CLASS, AND THE ACTIVITIES

The right vehicle gives your students the seating they need and the comfort that makes sense for the journey. BTM can help you compare the options before you book.

School Buses for Local Outings

For a nearby field trip or short student transfer, a standard school bus offers a cost-conscious option. We’ll match the bus to the group’s size and trip requirements, including anything students need to bring for the day.

Motorcoaches for Longer Journeys

Our 38- and 56-passenger motorcoaches include onboard restrooms, Wi-Fi, charging at each seat, TV/DVD entertainment, and climate control. Those comforts are especially useful for overnight trips, regional competitions, and days with more time on the road.

Smaller Groups and Accessibility

A 25-passenger minibus can suit a smaller class or club on a local outing. Wheelchair-lift options are available by request. Tell us about passengers’ mobility needs so the vehicle arrangement supports their participation in the trip.

Experience Behind Every School Trip

PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS. VEHICLES WE OWN AND MAINTAIN.

Choosing school transportation means trusting the people behind the vehicle. BTM drivers complete background checks, drug testing, and required safety training before employment, and bring at least five years of commercial driving experience.

BTM owns and operates its fleet, with an in-house maintenance team supporting the vehicles that carry your students. Our experience spans more than 30 years of charter transportation, including school groups, youth organizations, and college travel.

From the school pickup to the final return, your driver handles the road while teachers and chaperones stay with the students. The transportation is part of a school-led trip, with a shared itinerary connecting everyone involved.

The Details That Shape the Day

MAKE ROOM FOR THE WHOLE FIELD TRIP

The attraction’s reservation time is one part of the day. Students also need time to gather, board, eat lunch, and return to school. For a performance or overnight visit, instruments, costumes, or suitcases may travel too. We’ll work from the school’s itinerary to connect those activities with practical departure and return times.

Students and Chaperones Together

Include every adult as well as every student in the passenger count. For a trip using several buses, assigning classes and chaperones to vehicles gives the school a clear boarding plan and helps keep the same groups together throughout the outing.

Time at the Destination

A booked tour, campus appointment, or competition check-in sets the arrival target. Add lunch and any second destination to the itinerary so the transportation supports the full visit, with a return that fits the school’s arrangements for dismissal or parent pickup.

Bags, Instruments, and Overnight Gear

A class carrying daypacks has different storage needs from a band with instrument cases. Share what is traveling with the group when requesting the trip. That helps us recommend enough room for the people and equipment from the first departure onward.
School Travel Questions

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

You don’t need to choose a bus before contacting us. Start with the school’s plans, and we’ll help find the transportation that fits.
Should we choose a school bus or a motorcoach?
A school bus can be a practical choice for a short local outing. For longer journeys, our 38- and 56-passenger motorcoaches add restrooms, Wi-Fi, charging, entertainment, and climate control. The group size, distance, storage needs, and desired amenities will help determine the best fit.
Can a school charter include an overnight stay or several destinations?
Yes. BTM provides local, overnight, regional, and interstate student transportation. A trip can include campus visits, educational programs, hotel transfers, and other scheduled stops. Send the full itinerary, including daily activities and the journey home, so the quote covers the whole trip.
How do we include a student who needs wheelchair-lift transportation?
Tell us about the mobility device, lift requirements, and the rest of the traveling group when requesting your quote. Wheelchair-lift options are available by request. We’ll discuss vehicle matching and the pickup arrangements alongside the school’s passenger count and itinerary.
